Designer biography:
Claude L was a Graduate professor of Technology. Claude L is a self-taught jewelry artist but she was taught in the work of plastics, fabrics, papers, metals and stones. After training many students (and young teachers) to work with various materials for many years, she decided in 2017 to create contemporary jewelry. Her work has since been featured in numerous international exhibitions, including Artistar Jewels (MJW), Arte y Joya, Simancas Gallery (Spain), Galerie Beeld & Aambeeld (Netherlands), ROJW (Romania), and Galería Lalabeyou (Madrid). In recent years, she has exhibited at Galerie Caractère (Switzerland), Universus (Athens), Sophie (Paris), Tincal Lab (Portugal), and Galleria Carlo Lucidi (Rome), continuing to expand her presence across the European art jewelry scene.
Collection concept:
Currently in the world we are living delicate moments, facing various conflicts. The fragments resulting from these «ravages» are grouped in a portable chaotic assembly. My jewels are like small wearable sculptures, like relics, memories of a rich past... on which "some traces" are visible...«over the centuries". I seek to express fragility and evolution of the city with remains of concrete showing Imprints of Time and richness of past. Like a poetic journey, my «relics jewels» are an invitation to question negligence and call on our memory. What image does a society intend to give by destroying or abandoning “ruins”? And if these «remains» rich in memory accumulation become future supports of rebirth...
